Straight from the Vienna underground comes ITAL STEPPER – a heavyweight collaboration between DJ and producer Peter Hartwig and the High Noon Rockers, the city’s leading roots dub reggae sound system crew.
The 10″ EP delivers four brand-new steppers cuts built on the foundation of the 2023 single “Ital Vegetables Inna Back-A-Yard” (PUZ003), featuring Binghi Benny, whose golden voice added new vocal takes and a fresh spark of magic to the original.
Freeman Gyenyame joins on cut 3, bringing his unmistakable vocal style in a tribute to the Vienna Rootikal dances of the High Noon Rockers. A driving rhythm, an irresistibly catchy bassline and steadily building energy lead to the finale – a raving 70s synth line ensures full escalation in the dance.
A true tribute to Vienna’s sound system culture, produced by some of its finest representatives.
